ABOUT

I am not multiple lizard piloting an undead skinsuit! Though if you have any bugs or brains let me know for unrelated reasons.xI'm a 26 year old who was diagnosed with autism and ADHD ... with a healthy sprinkling of extreme anxiety on top! I consider myself nonbinary and I go by any pronouns, though there's a solid chance I won't respond to anything because I've zoned out.xMaking art has always been my coping mechanism when faced with the unrelenting march of time and my own looming mortality.xI believe that the creation of manmade art is one of the most important ways to express yourself and connect with others. How art is interpreted varies from person to person. Art can be inspiration for others, calls to actions against injustice, or just something nice to scroll past while procrastinating getting out of bed.xBecause of this I will always be adamantly against the censorship of artwork that depicts adult subjects such as gore and eroticism. I also do not condone the theft of art to be used in training generative artificial intelligence models. I do not give my permission for my own art to be used by any such models.xThere are a lot of things I like to depict in my art but some of my favorite subjects are...

  • REPTILES & INSECTS

  • TTRPGs & VIDEO GAMES

  • ZOMBIES & HORROR

FACTS

  • Certain reptiles have a photosensitive third eye on the top of their heads. As an example, if a bird swooped over them, the lack of light from the shadow of the bird would alert the reptile.

  • Many reptiles can recognize their owners and will seem to be more at ease when interacting with them. Some larger lizards can even be trained to a degree by their owners.

  • Most larger lizards hate to defecate in their tanks and can be taught to go on bathroom walks. Reptile leashes are common among owners. A walk won't look exactly like walking a dog... the lizard might decide to just pick a spot to bask and stay there indefinitely.

  • Reptiles aren't just decoration! They have distinctive personalities. They might not be as obvious as a dog or cat with their preferences and quirks, but they certainly have them. One of my old bearded dragons always wanted to be held and would grip onto hands when people tried to put him back into his tank. My most recent beardie, on the other hand, closes his eyes and pretends people don't exist unless they offer snacks.

  • There's a lot of things we don't know about our pet reptiles. Bearded dragons are one of the most popular species to own, yet some of their most common behavior is unexplained. For example, they'll sometimes close their eyes and then bulge them out like horrifying little stress toys! The experts weighed in... and said they have no clue why they do that.

  • Some omnivorous lizards are picky and would rather die than eat their vegetables. Owners have to employ a common tactic known as "tricking" by offering a juicy bug and then swiftly jamming greens in there too. Lizards have employed a countermeasure known as "chewing fingers." The battle continues.
